come over here babe it ain't that bad.

i don't claim to understand the troubles that you've had...

today is a weird day. i woke up at around 7:45 this morning after having several nightmares. the first nightmare i can remember is one that involved me walking into the bathroom and finding a man standing in the corner that looked an awful lot like james spader which coincidentely looks a lot like my brother and spader was looking at me very strangely, i noticed he was standing in front of a shaky door that seemed to have some kind of animal behind it, perhaps a wolf or a dog...i don't really remember. but i stupidly disregarded the red flags to get out of the bathroom, i proceeded to go into one of the stalls. once i was in i heard a lot of barking and painful noises coming out of the animal. i then could establish the man screaming at the animal was my brother. i immediately got out of the bathroom to save the animal, but my brother was trying to explain that the animal was there to kill me. upon realizing this i thought my brother was going to kil the animal so i disregarded the fact that the animal might want to kill me, and proceded to pick up the dog/wolf and run as fast as i can. on my way out of the bathroom i was running down a hallway filled with monsters and sick people. they were all screaming at me and trying to scare me by either groping me or making statements about my past. it was really terrifying and i woke up just briefly after that and clung on to davey for dear life. he was in a dreamlike state probably dreaming of ice cream and cheesecake and i woke him up with news of my bad dreams. he fell asleep shortly after hugging me and i got up and began reading some more of the "soul making" theodicy.

even after being up and reading, i still felt like i was in a funk, and that the dream was still with me, so i turned on lifetime and watched the golden girls. always makes things seem like they ain't that bad.

WOW Lauren what a frightning dream. I'm sorry you dreamt that sweetie =( I dreamt about Ryan Wilson last night. He was helping me and my daughter with her science project, he was an absolute dream boat in my dream, lol. Here is some info I found on the web about NightMares and dreaming about dogs:

We all have had nightmares at various parts in our lives. They are quite normal. But what is exactly a nightmare and why do we have them?

Nightmares are a subcategory of dreams. The distinction of a nightmare is its frightening and/or emotional content. You tend to wake up in fear in the midst of a nightmare. Because of its frightening nature, you tend to remember your nightmares and the vivid details. They have a bigger impact upon your waking mind and its images stay with you throughout the day. One reason for nightmares may be a way of our unconscious to get our attention about a situation or problem that you have been avoiding. It is time to take notice and confront a problem or situation. Nightmares serve an important purpose in showing you what is troubling you from within you deeper levels. Discussing, analyzing, and understanding your nightmares can lead to a solution for some problem, internal conflict or personal difficulty.

Here is what it means when you dream about dogs:

Dog

To see a dog in your dream, indicate a skill that you have ignored or forgotten, but needs to be activated. Alternatively, dogs may symbolize intuition, loyalty, generosity, protection, and fidelity. Your own values and intentions will enable you to go forward in the world and succeed. If the dog is vicious and/or growling, then it signifies some inner conflict within yourself. It may indicate betrayal and untrustworthiness. If the dog is dead or dying, then it indicates a loss of a good friend. Alternatively, it represents a deterioration of your instincts.

To dream that a dog bites your on the leg, suggests that you have lost your ability to balance aspects of your life. You may be hesitant in approaching a new situation or have no desire to move forward with your goals.

To see a happily barking dog in your dream, symbolizes pleasures and much social activity. If the dog is barking ferociously, then it represents your habit of making demands on people and controlling situations around you. It could also mean unfriendly companions.

To dream that you are buying a dog, indicates your tendency to buy your friends or buy compliments/favors. Alternatively, it suggest a need for you to find companionship.

To dream that you are dressing up your dog, signifies your attempts to cover up your own character flaws and habits.

Also consider the notions associated with the word dog, such as loyalty ("man's best friend") and to be "treated like a dog".

Dreams with you brother in it:

Brother

To see your brother in your dream, may symbolize some aspect of your relationship with him. It can also serve to remind you that someone in your waking life has certain characteristics/behavior similar to your brother's.

If you do not have a brother and dream that you have one, then he may symbolize characteristics that you need to acknowledge within yourself. The brother in your dream can also be synonymous with a close friend or buddy. Brother also has religious implications and thus represents spiritual issues. Consider also the familiar phrase "big brother is watching you" which indicate that your dream has to deal with issues of authority and oppression.

To dream that you are mad or angry at your brother, signifies repressed anger that you are feeling but afraid to express in your waking life.

Hope you find this useful.

Love,
Melissa =)
